Terrorist extremists fail to make world a better place, again
You might recall from yesterday that things are, to use a technical term, pretty fucking terrifying in Nigeria right about now, what with the terrorist bomb blast at a busy bus station that killed over 70 people. Well, it's just getting better: between 100 and 200 female students have reportedly been abducted from a school in the country's north.
The hardline Islamist group Boko Haram are not fans of women or education, and particularly hate the idea of educated women. The clue is in the name, which translates loosely as "non-Islamic education is a sin". So they've been pretty big on abducting women from schools, or just firebombing the places. According to women who've subsequently escaped those kidnapped by the group are then used as unpaid domestic servants and sex slaves, which is apparently totes fine with God because these people are, let's be clear, fucking monsters.
Some of the women abducted yesterday escaped by jumping from the back of the open trucks or grabbing onto low-hanging tree branches as they passed underneath, proving that these women are not just students - they're goddamn action heroes.
If these are the sort of enemies that Boko Haram wants to make, they're even more stupid than they appear.

When will they learn? When the terrorists learn we don't respond to terrorism they'll become a political party ...
Boko Haram abduct more than 100 schoolgirls in northeast Nigeria
Heavily armed Boko Haram Islamists kidnapped more than 100 girls from a school in northeast Nigeria.
The radical group, which has attacked schools in the area before as part of their anti-government rebellion, carried off the students from the school in Chibok in Borno state late on Monday.
Witnesses said they saw gunmen arrive in trucks and on motorcycles and overpowered soldiers that had been guarding the school ahead of their yearly exams.
Officials said the gunmen killed a soldier and police officer and took off with at least 100 students and as many as 200.

I agree it is appalling, nobody whether Christian or Muslim is safe from these idiots, they have no regard for the sanctity of life.

Hopefully they'll just demand a ransom and it'll be paid.
