JD wins the horsies!
Congrats to Joy Division for winning the 2014 News Fix Grand National competition by selecting Pineau De Re, the winner.
JD has selected the Sick Kids Friends Foundation in Edinburgh as his charity. You can donate to them by clicking this link:
https://www.justgiving.com/edinburghsickkids
... and the purple "Donate" button at the top right. I just donated £10.
And JD should have a new title displaying as well!

Re: JD wins the horsies!
Hey Ben...love my winning title
Nice one! I really dunno wether to do a one off donation or maybe a few quid a month...it's bairns, and years back I had a terminally ill baby nephew who was treated at Edinburgh, he was only supposed to live a week, but the wee mite held on for 3 months....
It was very sad, but the care my nephew as well as my brother and his wife received was second to none...
My brother and his wife wanted the wee man home to die beside them ,,,sadly my sister in law thought as the wee man was putting weight on he was getting better, but that was only a sign the end was nearing, i felt so awful for them, they were heartbroken...even though they knew the inevitable would happen..
So this lies close to my heart, as does anything involving kids.

I added the gift aid too, which means I believe the donation is now up to at least £25

Thanks guys...
I've gone for the monthly donation ,it's just £3.00 a month, but works out to £3.75 a month with the gift aid...
Nice one guys, a worthwhile cause indeed, and although I do donate to one other kids' charity, I wish I could them all...

Re: JD wins the horsies!
If there is enough support we could do the Kentucky Derby next month and pick a US charity that is meaningful to someone. We could go right round all the countries in which we have members.

Come on some of you folks who haven't stepped up yet, it's all for a great cause and I'm sure our forum Christians will understand and dip into their pockets.
We must be close to a hundred quid now?
Let's be the forum that cares!...even a one -off £2 donation will help.
