Paramedic from West, Texas arrested with explosive device

A paramedic in West, the town rocked by a fertilizer explosion last month that killed 14 people, is in the custody of the Marshall’s Service, a federal official confirmed.
Bryce Reed, the paramedic, is “currently in our custody,” David Oney, a public affairs official with the U.S. Marshall’s Office told the American-Statesman.
News services are reporting that Reed was arrested early Friday morning on a charge of possession of a destructive device. It wasn’t immediately clear if the charge is related to the explosion.
The Texas Department of Public Safety and the McLennan County sheriff announced Friday that they would open a criminal investigation into the plant explosion.
