Peppers to Packers Empty Peppers to Packers

Post by groomsy Sun Mar 16, 2014 1:35 am

Four days after being cut by the Bears, Julius Peppers found a new employer Saturday. In Green Bay.

Peppers, 34, signed a three-year contract with the Packers, heading for his 13th season with a team that was his chief rival for the last four years. The defensive end will try to prove he has plenty left in his tank while fitting into a defense that has used a 3-4 scheme for years.

“I’m going to let coach (Mike) McCarthy deal with questions about the position and the scheme,” Peppers told Packers.com. “We haven’t talked in detail about what the plan is going to be for me, but I can say it’s going to be something different.”

wow his couple of bears games will be very interesting, it will be fun to see how he adapts to the different schemes too..

Lots of Bears fans didn't rate him at all last season, don't think they will be too sad to see him go...

he was ok, his age has caught up to him with all his foot problems but wasnt worth a 18 mil hit cap for what he was producing, even 10 mil a year is too much for him now

it is a very unforgiving game, you need to know when you can't produce it anymore, he should have took a wage reduction, better than totally losing it..

the game really has changed though, gone are the big overweight players, now even the big , heavy players are fast, mean and very athletic..

I watched the new draft going through their paces showing the teams what they can do and they are a whole new breed of athlete..
