Azeem Rafiq has apologised for sending antisemitic messages in 2011 in a post on social media.

The former cricketer, who has been at the centre of revealing the recent racism scandal which has sent shockwaves through the game, posted a statement on Twitter.

It's so weird that some people think certain types of racism are okay, while others aren't. Anti-semitism seems to be a common one -- "I'm not racist, but those Jews ..."

Same with people who'll swear they're not racist but they're homophobic -- it's like, the basic idea is not to hold traits people can't do anything about, against them, based on the idea that 1) certain traits aren't necessarily "better" than others and 2) none of us get to choose the circumstances of our birth.
