Princess Diana's statue unveiled on what would have been her 60th birthday.
I'm sure in spite of recent events, Diana would be proud of her boys. x
It's hard to believe Diana would have been 60.
"The Dukes of Cambridge and Sussex have united to unveil a statue of Diana, Princess of Wales, saying "every day we wish she were still with us".
William and Harry came together for a ceremony in Kensington Palace's redesigned Sunken Garden, on what would have been their mother's 60th birthday."

I was surprised it didn't, but I suppose this way it includes all children.

Re: Princess Diana's statue unveiled on what would have been her 60th birthday.
William and Harry joint statement released after the unveiling of the Diana statue.
"Today, on what would have been our Mother’s 60th birthday, we remember her love, strength and character – qualities that made her a force for good around the world, changing countless lives for the better.
"Every day, we wish she were still with us, and our hope is that this statue will be seen forever as a symbol of her life and her legacy.
"Thank you to Ian Rank-Broadley, Pip Morrison and their teams for their outstanding work, to the friends and donors who helped make this happen, and to all those around the world who keep our mother’s memory alive."

Strategic avoidance of any and all controversy. It's like: 'Let's all gather round the camp fire and sing Kumbaya, My Lord'.

That's the way it should be surely.
This was (for once) about honouring Diana not spotlighting her sons differences.
Not surprising that Charles and his wife stayed well clear though.

I agree, that's the way it should be. But the way-it-is...is factual, not aspirational.
I worry that all they are doing is stitching up an infection, without curing it.

Well the statue was unveiled, and it seems to have had had a favourable response.

I'm offended by it. She represented an oppressive regime.
Tear it down.
