Explosion in a shit factory

"Multiple casualties" have been reported after a large explosion at a waste water treatment works.
Firefighters were called to Wessex Water's premises in Avonmouth, near Bristol, at about 11:20 GMT.
Emergency services are leading a rescue operation. The blast is thought to have involved a chemical tank, police said.
A witness reported hearing a "very loud explosion" that "shook buildings", and another said they saw "around 10 ambulances driving to the scene".
Police have declared a major incident and are investigating the circumstances of the blast.

A 16-year-old boy was among four workers killed in an explosion at a waste water treatment works.
Teenager Luke Wheaton, Michael James, 64, Brian Vickery, 63, and Raymond White, 57, died in the blast in Avonmouth, Bristol. A fifth person injured is recovering at home.

The only shit factory is the bowels of an animal, just wanted to point that out. There's no factory where people go to work to assemble shit, unless you're using the word metaphorically.

Could have been called a de-shitting factory. Shit goes in, and clean-ish water goes out.
A bazillian years ago I put some metal roofs over giant tanks that sanitized shit water in Nashville.
They pumped these giant concrete "pools" full of so much air that if you fell in, you wouldn't be able to swim. They told us if we fell in to hold our breath and work our way to the edge and find a pipe and pull our selves out.
Thankfully, none of us had to test out this practice. We did lose quite a few tools though.
