Here's an online test for reading someone's emotional state from just their eyes. (I scored almost perfectly average.)

I found some of them really challenging. I don't think it's fair just to see people's eyes; don't most people read the entire face? Not one of them looked like they were smiling to me, though some were apparently "joking," "happy," etc.

Did anybody notice whether they were more accurate with men or with women? I think I was slightly more accurate with men.

I considered that but didn't pay close enough attention to know for sure. I think I had more of my errors with men though.
