Georgia: Another lynching? Empty Georgia: Another lynching?

The new lynching style in the south, is a shotgun killing.  Georgia, arguably the most racist state in the south, has managed to pull off another unwarranted killing of a black man.  Two white men, on a former police officer, got in their pickup truck and took after a black man jogging, peacefully minding his own business.  When they cot to him, they pulled out a shotgun and killed him.

Here's the article:

CITIZEN FATALLY SHOOTS UNARMED BLACK MAN ...

Video Emerges, Grand Jury to Convene

The fatal shooting of Ahmaud Arbery -- a 25-year-old black man out for a jog when he was chased and killed -- was caught on video, prompting a call for a grand jury to review the case.

Arbery's death is being referred to as a modern-day lynching, as he was unarmed when he was gunned down in Brunswick, GA on February 23 by a white citizen named Travis McMichael ... who has not been arrested or charged. He also happens to be the son of a former district attorney investigator.

As you can see in the video, Arbery was jogging when he was stopped by McMichael and his father in a white pickup truck. McMichael was armed with a shotgun. Arbery appears to attempt to run around the truck before he and McMichael start grappling.

After at least 2 shots, the men continued struggling over the gun ... until Arbery stumbles away, shot in the mid-section, and then collapses to the ground. He was later pronounced dead.

McMichael has not been charged in the shooting ... reportedly because he and his father, who was in the back of the truck, claim they were trying to make a citizen's arrest. They claim Ahmaud fit the description of a suspect in a string of recent break-ins in the area.

After the emergence of the video, D.A. Pro Tempore Tom Durden has decided the case "should be presented to the grand jury of Glynn County for consideration of criminal charges against those involved in the death of Mr. Arbery.”

Ahmaud's family says the use of deadly force was unnecessary.

The defense--'I thought he was a criminal'--is as bogus as can be.  You can't just assume someone is guilty and gun him down.  And it's no surprise, he's a black man.  Just like old times...

Father and son now arrested and charged with murder and aggravated assault.
Do they have the death penalty in Georgia?
I hope so.

Yes, and I am pleased to see their smug, white faces sunken into the hollows.  But I would rather see them in the gallows.

This is in southestern Georgia, near Jacksonville, Fl.  This is the same part of the south where George Zimmerman got off for killing Trayvon Martin, on February 26, 2012

These murderers think they have a self-defense, namely that the victim attacked the gun wielder.  So, the victim started it.  Um...if someone pointed a gun at me, I would think the hostilities had already begun.  The victim was totally within his rights to fight back.

But you can detect the southern reasoning at work here.  Anytime a white and a black come to hostilities, look to what the black man did to establish guilt.  Assume the black man is at fault...even if he's just jogging down the lane.  This is the same reasoning behind the many, many lynching’s that have gone on in the south for 400-years.

To answer your question, the US Supreme Court, under the 8th Amendment, has made it difficult to execute a person.  Only Texas can't seem to break the addiction.

But in this case, it is the white man who faces jeopardy.  The inevitable white jury will most likely find him innocent, or at least find a way to reduce charges to manslaughter, or maybe even simple assault...with a six month sentence, reduced to 3 months on good behavior.

Spoken like a true redneck southerner: don't look over here; look over there!

This is a classic southern hanging.  White men way-lay black man, and promptly kill him.  Police look around for an excuse to let white men walk.

They finally conclude that for a black to attempt to disarm a white man who is threatening to shoot him, is an assault...  Rolling Eyes   It was self-defense.

Well, things haven't changed much from the 1870's.  If a black man points a gun on a white man, it's murder or attempted murder.  If a white man points a gun on a black man, and shoots, it's self-defense.  Southerns are not even skillful in their bullshit.
