So if you are a fat , old diabetic black person, better get your will sorted.
Could this be a reason the far right Presidents of US and Brazil are encouraging the virus?

It's systemic segregation. How many blacks get to isolate on their yacht? Minorities fill lower-level, essential jobs. Therefore, the risk is raised for them considerably.

Also, they have to be out and about more. They don't have professional shoppers or the means to pay for expensive delivery services. They are their own step-and-fetch-it.

But after taking account of socio-demographic characteristics and measures of self-reported health and disability, the risk of a COVID-19-related death for males and females of black ethnicity reduces to 1.9 times more likely than those of white ethnicity.

People of Bangladeshi and Pakistani, Indian, and mixed ethnicities also have a significantly raised risk of death, ONS data shows.

Males in the Bangladeshi and Pakistani ethnic group are 1.8 times more likely to have a COVID-19-related death than white males when taking age and other factors into account.

For females, the figure is 1.6 times more likely.

The ONS found increased mortality rates due to COVID-19 for all ethnic minority groups, except for in Chinese women.

The ONS said a 'substantial part' of the difference in COVID-19 mortality between ethnic groups is explained by differences in how these communities live, such as areas with socio-economic deprivation.

Ergo: it's about racism, and racial injustice. Even 1.9 times the likelihood (nearly twice), is owing to what I refer to as hidden systemic racism: subliminal bias in lending, housing, education and other practices of society. It's at times like this--a totally non-discriminatory threat--that we see in stark relief what kind of a society we have created.
