Mark Ruffolo is a weak leading man.  Should'a put Harrison Ford in there.

BTW, hasn't this script been done before?  Erin Brockovich, I believe was the featured player, played by Julia Roberts.  It's about how Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) dumped about 370 million gallons of chromium-tainted wastewater into unlined wastewater spreading ponds around the town of Hinkley, California, located in the Mojave Desert.

Remove the location to the east, turn Erin into a male lawyer, and make the bad guy Dupont Chemical...and presto, you've got your remake.

Its nothing like the Erin film, which is great also

This fight for justice is still ongoing and went on over 2 decades by this lawyer. Who originally was a defence lawyer for this Chemical company

My suggestion to you is to actually watch the film before making such dumb comments

I'll have to wait until the lockdown lifts, then go see it. Maybe by then it will be on TV.

I don't mean to suggest that it is not a RL story. Stories of pollution in back woods areas are many. It's not just California and Appalachia either.

But the theme has been done many times. For example, there is the film Fire Down Below, starring Stephen Segal and Kris Kristofferso...set in rural Kentucky, (environmental agent tries to prove the dumping of toxic waste in the local coal mines by ruthless industrialists). There was North Country in 2005. Many more.
