Interesting! Will give this a watch later. Been well into my Dark Age/Anglo-Saxon documentaries of late, starting with Fall of House Wessex and working backwards.

Cheers for the link Smile

I haven't, but I've read the first ten books by Cornwell and they are brilliant - especially the first two, which cover the initial invasion upto Edington. Really puts you in the midst of the battle.

I will get to the show, but my Uthred is very distinct in my mind, and looks nothing like the actor in the show Shocked

Just finished with the video. Fascinating watch.

I still hold on to faith in Arthur possibly having been a real person of great importance though. Though admittedly that is pure optimistic faith on my part. I just can't accept there was no such person whatsoever Laughing

The whole period 400-600 is an era I hope they continue to unearth much more on. It is a bizarre black hole in our history.

I believe there was somebody of great military stature for the time definitely. Sadly we know very little about him and much of his story has been created into myths

Anyway here is another channel with 14 videos on the Saxons lol

This channels is great . When you get time have a watch mate
