WMD's in Iraq. Immanent threats from Iran. More lies?
We all know that Republicans promised WMD's in Iraq as a justification for going to war there.
Now, on the brink of war with Iran, the Trump administration says there were "immanent threats" that justified the killing of General Soleimani....only, um, they can't disclose the reasons.
We are too stupid to know why we are giving up our sons and daughters to certain death going to war with Iran. We are too stupid to know why we commit another $17-trillion in order to satisfy some RW egos. Just fuckin' do it, asshole Americans! They say.
Once again, we are being fed a massive lie. There is no "immanent threat" from Iran, just as there were no WMD's in Iraq. It's another fookin' Republican lie. How long do we want to be governed by fairy tales?
How long are lies going to suffice as justifications for decisions that cost us so much? Are really that stupid? At least the Bush liars gave us some substance--WMD's, actual things. The Trump administration, having learned that lesson from Bush and Cheney, just gives us only place-holding phrases. What is an "immanent threat"...what does it feel like, what color is it, is it warm or cold? It is a holding phrase for fookin' nothing...we can never know it's substance, because the same guy who invented such fantasia tells us it is top secret.
They say that Congress is giving up power to the Executive. Hell, the people are giving up democracy to the tyrants.
