Individual actions such as driving electric cars, going vegetarian and air-drying laundry are a drop in the ocean when it comes to climate change.

Now I don't feel bad about just buying a 4WD GMC pickup and driving it to the BBQ place. Wink

Volcanic eruptions really don't make that much of a difference. Fires are much more of a problem when they're big enough.

For me, it's always been about allowing people to do exactly as they want, but in a clean way that respects the environment. We need to start treating the environment as a person who doesn't have a voice, seeing as we're all completely dependent upon it.

Neither bushfires nor volcanoes are causing climate change to accelerate unnaturally, in the way that it has over the last two centuries...

Excessive droughts (viz. "Climate Change"..), excessive deforrestation, urban sprawl, industrial-scale pollution, stealing water from the environment -- all of these human factors, though, are contributing to both worsening wildfires, and more frequent storm surges and flooding..

Vegan diets and electric cars won't cure these problems -- but they do provide plenty of opportunities for the profiteers and carpetbaggers fiddling around the edges.
