It's a bit early to call them a dynasty. At least in the political sense. Were not talking the Kennedys here.

The Trumps are an off-shoot of the Gambino New York crime family.  John Gotti, one-time head of the Gambino syndicate, was a personal friend of Fred Trump, the President's father.  

Organized crime will typically carve up a city's commercial and transactional life, extracting money from it in any way they can.  The Trump's were involved with real estate and concrete suppliers.

Despite the success of his father, Donald Trump was a horrible businessman, and flushed all of his inheritance down the toilet.  Increasingly, Donald turned to debt to finance his efforts.  But in the wake of six bankruptcies, no American bank would lend to him.

One German bank, Deutsche Bank, had advanced construction financing on a Chicago project, Trump Tower-Chicago.  Donald had given a personal guarantee on the loan, and when the project went south, Deutsche Bank sued Trump in around 2008.  The amount in controversy as about $640-million.

According to Luke Harding, who wrote a book titled, Collusion: Secret Meetings, Dirty Money, and How Russia Helped Donald Trump Win, Deutsche Bank had a Moscow Branch, structured in two more-or-less divisions.  One division had a public face, and dealt with the public as might any other bank.  The other division was sealed and secret, with names and amounts held in confidence, serving the many crimes and criminals of the so-called Russian Mafia (head of which is Vlad Putin).

Trump was approached (surprisingly, by litigation adversary Deutsche Bank, itself) and informed that an unnamed someone in the secret division of the Moscow branch wanted to pay off his complete debt to the bank, and terminate the litigation.  Whomever it was would also be willing to finance future projects.

From here the story goes dark.  But the final chapter of this part of the Trump saga might likely be found in Donald Trump’s tax returns; hence, he refuses to release them.  In those tax returns, tax attorneys say Trump would have to account for any gifts, even in the form of retirement of a debt.  The strong speculation is that Putin was the gratuitous gift-giver.  That would account for Trump’s obsequiousness toward the dictator.

Alternatively, words do not necessarily denote a "well thought out" argument or idea.  Just look at didge.

I agree, that there is a childlike composition to his posts.

That's why I leave him alone for the most part.

American religious evangelicals see the scum of the earth as the second coming of Christ. Trump is the lowest form of human animal and that is the scum they perceive as sent by God. That I will never understand and that is why I have zero use for religion. Trump has made me a certified atheist!
