Hail the heroes! Brave officers praised for rushing into mayhem of Manchester's Arndale Centre as a knifeman 'lunged' at shoppers with a 12in blade in 'terror attack' stabbing five people
Police have been praised for the way they bravely tackled a knifeman who attacked five people including a teenage girl at a Manchester shopping centre.
Unarmed officers subdued the suspect with a taser after she slashed several people with a 12-inch knife in Manchester's Arndale Centre.
Members of the public fled in fear and sought refuge in shops as the 41-year-old suspect threatened passers by with a blade.
Manchester mayor Andy Burnham said the attack was 'more mental health-related' than political or religious.
Police teams have today searched the man's house as they search for evidence.
Speaking this morning as the Arndale Centre reopened, Mr Burnham said: 'Yesterday's incident in the Arndale centre was deeply distressing for those caught up in it, but of course for everybody across our whole area.
'As the city returns to normality this morning, Greater Manchester is doing what it always does - which is to respond in a considered way, providing support to those who need it, prosecuting those responsible, and of course learning any lessons that may need to be learned.
'We think first this morning of those recovering from their injuries and I am sure I speak for everybody in Greater Manchester in wishing them a very, very speedy recovery indeed.

News reports say this was a black man who was responsible...
And there are pictures released that seem to confirm this...
Except... the colour of the leg doesn't match the colour of the head...!!!
What the fuk is going on with that then...!!!???

Also... what's going on with this news pic...?
The copper in the middle standing outside the front of the open door...
How can he be standing out the front of this doorway like that... when his feet are clearly seen to be planted inside the doorway...!!!???

I actually agree with you on the leg photo, Tommy. On the other, I'm not sure but I think that's not a door frame, but rather, the top of the step he's standing on.
Probably a mundane explanation for both. For instance, you can catch a shine on someone's skin that makes them look lighter, maybe that's what's happening with the leg photo.
Or maybe somebody Photoshopped a black face onto the suspect, who's really white?

I'm surprised nobody has picked up on the fact that the suspect is reported as female, then male, in the OP.

.
I noticed that, too...
I put that down to a slip by the reporter -- and the lack of sub-editors checking copy these days..

Re: two different skin tones
The perp' could also be a 'half-caste' or 'mulatto', where sometimes you find varying colours and tones on different parts of the body..
I had an uncle who was half-aboriginal (his mother was Spanish/British blend..), where those parts of his body exposed to regular sun would tan up to be as dark as his 'full-blood' cousins, while when he took his shirt off his upper body and upper arms were distinctly lighter. That effect can be even more pronounced in those "mulattos" who have a two-tone/'skewbald' skin pattern..
As for lighting -- both street lights and fluorescent lights are good at changing skin tones...

Terrible story about the knife attacks, but thankful no one was killed or more seriously injured.
Re: 'photoshop'
Come on, as Ben says, likely a simple explanation. Don't look too deeply into every photo. I'm sure if someone was 'covering' something up, they'd be pretty meticulous to ensure no shoddy photoshop efforts slipped through their devious and maniacal fingers...
The leg likely is shine but having slightly lighter skin on differing body parts is not so out there. For the door picture, perspective can be clever - if you watch the Lord of the Rings movies you'd never guess the hobbit actors are simply standing much further from the non-hobbit characters in a given scene - it looks JUST like they are next to each other.
Not everything is a conspiracy
