Conservatives don't believe in human rights. They believe all humans are on their own and deserve what they get. That's why I'm proud to be a liberal and anti-conservative.

Only negative rights exist. Those are rights that you can exercise without forcing others to do things.

You can't make such a sweeping statement, they are some people like that I admit.
I seem to hover over being Conservative in some things, Liberal in others and Socialist in a few things and I think there's a lot of us about. In other words we aren't dyed in the wool anything, importantly, we don't blindly follow a doctrine. We think about an issue and ask questions.

That's a very easy position to hold when you were born into some measure of security, and a very difficult position to hold when you weren't.

It's an easy position to take, when you're not a fan of forcing people to do things.

If you're born into a position where there are people to feed you, house you, clothe you, etc., then it's easy to say nobody should be forced to do those things.
If you're born into a position where nobody does those things for you, it's equally easy to say someone should be forced to.

No it's not. What is easy to say is that we should take care of each other without a gun pointed at us.
Lack of something is never justification for demanding someone else give it to you.
All that being said, I'm OK with people being forced to contribute to a kitty that supports children, the disabled and the elderly. Not because they have a right to anything but because we have an obligation to certain groups that are truly incapable of taking care of themselves.
A 5 year old kid cant support themselves. You and I can.
