Luckily, after removing the amniotic sack that the baby was still inside of the outcome was....a beautiful baby boy. I love you

I think we instinctively gravitate toward babies, as a habit of nature. I have been in two delivery rooms, and both times the child came out in different colors, and shapes.

But in minutes they unwrinkle, like a balloon, and take the look of the above.

I cant watch a baby being born without crying, it's just such a miracle.

It is a miricle, when you compute the genetic mutations that it took to get here. With my youngest, there was all this literature that you should talk to them still in the womb. So, I did. It was a difficult delivery, C-section, and she was crying...

I got to her in the nursery as soon as I could, and there she was with needles sticking out of her head, arms and feet...still crying. When I spoke to her with the same words, she immediately stopped crying and looked in my direction (newborn babies can't see). She recognized the voice and knew she wasn't abandoned.

If unborn babies are spoken to they do recognise their dads voice as well as their mums.
Special moments that never fade.....no matter how long ago they happened.

Haha....my baby was beautiful when he was born, and I bet 99.9% of mums would say the same.

No. Sorry I just made a knee-jerk reaction to your first post (and your thread title) that showed a photo of a baby and you making a “pale face” emoji...like “Oh God! Look at the state of that kid!”

Babies always look better a few days after they're born...

Newborns == miscoloured, bald, wrinkly, slimy, amniotic fluid, afterbirth..

There's a good reason that nature has the mums all hyped up on hormones (not only humans but most mammals -- cats, dogs, cows, sheep, horses, rabbitts, guinea pogs, possums, gorillas, koalas..)

If those hormones didn't have the mothers believing that theirs is "the most beautiful baby in the world !", then oftentimes their first response might be to go "Yuck ! What is that ?", and throw it away..

Then there are some of those other abnormalities that aren't entirely unknown in delivery wards -- six fingers or toes, tails, horn stubs on the forehead, scaly patches of skin, a third nipple, weak necks, pointy or square heads..
