Teenager throws six year old boy off Tate Gallery balcony.
What an absolute nightmare.
"A 6-year-old boy is in a critical but stable condition after being thrown five stories from the Tate Modern in London, the U.K.’s most popular tourist attraction.
The boy was visiting the modern art gallery’s 10th floor viewing platform with his mother Sunday when he was taken from her arms and thrown over the railing, according to the Daily Mail. He landed on the roof of a five-story building below.
The police arrested a 17-year-old male on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in police custody."

Re: Teenager throws six year old boy off Tate Gallery balcony.
On the news it says the little boy is improving but still critical today.
He and his mum are French, probably seeing the sights of London, when this tragedy happened to them.
Reports say his mother had to be held back as she tried to climb over the balcony to reach her son, who had fallen on a roof 5 storeys below.
A 17 year old who is unknown to the mother and child, was initially held by onlookers till the police arrived. He allegedly admitted at the scene to throwing the boy off the balcony.
Police have charged him with attempted murder.
I cant think of anything more frightening than seeing your child snatched from you and thrown off a high balcony.

I hadn't heard that Mags, if so, like Quill said, they could be at fault here.

I can't put links on my tablet lol, but I definitely read that. He apparently slipped his carers. How true that is I don't know Syl, but if true, then his carers were to blame as you and Quill said.

This is the latest link I can find online, but you live a lot nearer where the incident happened, it could have been on your local news Mags.
"A teenager has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after allegedly throwing a six-year-old child from the tenth floor viewing platform of the Tate Modern gallery.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be identified because of his age, spoke only to confirm his name, age and nationality as British when he made a brief appearance at Bromley Youth Court.
He was charged with attempted murder following the incident on Sunday afternoon when a child fell 100ft from the viewing balcony at the Tate Modern on the south bank of the Thames.
During the five minute court appearance, it was revealed that the victim, who is French but also cannot be named for legal reasons, has suffered a bleed on his brain as well as fractures to his back, arms and legs.
He remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital and his parents are being supported by specially trained police officers."

Maybe it was London news Syl, I don't know. As I say maybe it's untrue anyway. I hope he's locked away for life though.

Syl, just on the news, no mention of him being mentally ill or with carers. Wish I could remember where I saw that statement. It's obviously not true. He attended court today.

The poor little boy has a bleed on the brain and spinal injuries, he is no longer fighting for his life,

"The teenager charged with throwing a six-year-old boy off a balcony at the Tate Modern was a schizophrenia patient who had slipped away from his carers, it is claimed.
The suspect reportedly stayed at a 'secure home' and was only allowed to leave with at least two minders accompanying him.
Police are said to be investigating whether the teen left his accommodation without permission or whether he went missing on a trip out.
An ex-carer who once worked with the suspect told The Sun: "He’s one of the most difficult and challenging mental patients I’ve ever encountered.
"He is stockily built — about 5ft 10in tall — and gets angry when he is denied something that he wants or is told what to do."
