Memorial Day

Today is Memorial Day over here, the US version of Remembrance Day.
Leaving aside the futility of war, we must remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. I think of a few of our close friends who died in Afghanistan or Iraq, some of my dad’s friends who died in Vietnam and some of my Grandpa’s college friends who died at Pearl Harbir or elsewhere in WW2. To those who came back broken. To the families who never got to say goodbye, to the innocents who always get caught up in war.
To The Glorious Dead, We Will Remember Them.

Australia' and New Zealand's version of Remembrance Day is ANZAC Day.
Commemorated on the 25th April each year..

Yes it is. We have a few friends who left the British army to move to both the NZ Andy Australian armies.
I watched the Haka that the ABs did.
