European Parliament voting intention: Brex 28%, Lab 22%, Con 13% (23-26 Apr) Yg-28-04-19

The Brexit Party continues to lead in YouGov's latest European Parliament voting intention poll, conducted for Hope Not Hate. Nigel Farage's new party holds 28% of the vote, having been on 23% in last week's survey.

Labour find themselves with 22% of the vote (unchanged) while the Conservatives are on just 13% (from 17% last week). The Greens are on 10% (unchanged) as are Change UK (from 8% last week). The Lib Dems hold 7% of the vote (9% last week) and UKIP are on 5% (from 6%). Votes for all other parties stand at 6% (unchanged).

Basketball

That's what happens when you have the 'conservative' vote split among four groups...

If it were reduced to a "three horse race" the results would be :

Farage's Brexit team  == 28%

Labour + Greens     ==   32%

Tories + 'the rest..' ==   40%

I wouldn't say Change UK or the Liberal Democrats were really conservative tbh.

The people who really want Brexit will vote Farage or UKIP - that's 33% of the vote.

The people who most oppose Brexit will vote Change UK, Liberal Democrats or Green (the Parties openly pushing for a 2nd Referendum) - that's 27% of the vote.

Labour and Tory make up the rest. Most of the Labour voters I know (and most people I know, vote Labour) oppose Brexit too - though that isn't a fair indicator.

What that poll shows is that another referendum would still be close, even though I tend to think it now favours remain.

As evidence of this, if you tally up all Brexit/UKIP/Tory you get 46% (and all Tories don't even want Brexit).

Tally the rest you get 49% (though again, not all Labour voters don't want Brexit), then throw in the SNP to push it over the mark.

How can anyone with an ounce of sense vote for a man who supports the IRA, Hammas and other terrorist groups, who wants to get rid of the Royal Family, our Nuclear deterrent, our Military, and want's to nationalise every thing ? Unbelievable !

But you are forgetting a very important point...

Only British nationals qualify for a say in whether the UK leaves the EU or not... and the only real vote on that has already happened in the EU referendum... with 17.5 million (52%) voting to leave the EU...

Also... we already had a general election soon after the referendum result, with 85% of the current MPs being elected on their party manifesto promises to honour the result of the referendum and ensure that the UK was to leave the EU by the end of the 2 year deadline set out in the law of article 50 of the Lisbon treaty...

We shouldn't even be having any elections here for British MEPs... as we should already be out if the EU... plus, there are plenty of non British nationals here in UK who are allowed to vote in these elections... so it is certainly not any reason to view any result as being used as any type of argument in favour of remaining in the EU...!!!
