Universally Preferable Behaviour - One For Quill, Lord Foul, Veya, Eizel
Right people, this is about a claim made Universally Preferable Behavior
I am going to post the second rebuttal of the claim. (can post the previous videos on this, if you so wish)
See which side you back, or if you dont back either side
I back the side of rationality rules and this video is 22 minutes long.
Stephens actual video is about 5 hours on this topic, which I doubt you would want to sit through. You will get the main thesis of the claim to Universally Preferable Behavior within this video, but can post up more. If you so wish.
This video was a second response to a video by Stephen doing a rebuttal video to rational behavior

Ok I didn't watch it all, I disagree with the concept of UPB .. i don't think it exists ..
for example to use their example
If you want to live you should eat ..... not if you're a plant or cybernetic being (which may not yet exists but it's still true ) .... fucking plebs
UBP in relation to one species of erratic Hominid? seems a bit conceited in my opinion

I fixed the spelling in the post
I wonder if is there a Universal Pee-havior ... the males of both Hominid and Dogs do like to go against a well placed tree

I agree that his concept is wrong and why i agree with "rationality rules" on this
Be interested to see what Lord Foul and Quill make of this

With you two on this. What is 'preferable behaviour' is entirely subjective based on time, place and culture. Watched another of this guy's videos rebuking Shapiro - he's very good!

He is very good mate and so is also another called "Cosmic Skeptic"
So that is 3 in agreement. Will we get a full consensus on this by the others?

Re: Universally Preferable Behaviour - One For Quill, Lord Foul, Veya, Eizel
molyneux's argument is flawed from the start by his total lack of biological knowlege.
Take the argument around "eating" being UPB, a point touched on (badly) by veya....
the fact is Molyneux confused the biological "function" of nutrition (actually the function of nutrition) which is a biological IMPERATIVE (and thus not behaviour) with the "act" of eating (i.e whether you eat with chopsticks or knife and fork or gobble it off the floor like a dog.)
even plants and cybermen need to take on nutrition........
As Eil says there is NO universal preferable behaviour
