Corbyn wasn't alone in speaking to the IRA.
So was Thatcher.
Don't see many of the rabid, Corbyn hating smearing Tories hear mentioning that.

Didn't see Mrs Thatcher going to many IRA Funerals or to ones for Hammas. Don't make yourself look any more of a fool Andy.

This gives good ammunition against anyone who mentions Corbyn and the IRA in the same sentence.
As an aside, didn't Major negotiate with the IRA as part of the Good Friday agreement.

So you try to turn it into a Willy waving competition rather than engaging in debate.
It's a trait common to xenophobic far right wingers.

I suppose that you'll also condemn as "xenophobic" and "far right" my suggestion that both Thatcher and Major were actually striving desperately to stop the bloodshed in Northern Ireland by dealing directly and face-to-face with all parties involved in "the troubles" on the grounds that they might well become significant figures in a future Ulster administration that could bring peace after centuries.
Corbyn's willingness to meet with them was simply a reflection of his hatred of the British establishment, and particularly the Tories, though he frequently defied the government whip and voted against his own party in Parliament.
Didn't he even proudly refer to Middle Eastern terrorists with a record of bombing and murder similar to that of the IRA as "our friends"?
Personally, I have nothing but praise and gratitude for all who were involved in the long, tortuous diplomatic talks that resulted in the Good Friday agreement - Tory, Labour, Northern Ireland minorities, Southern Irish and American.
And I can only hope to God that the wrangling over the fine points of the "backstop" does not lead to a return to the carnage that we have seen in the past, something that I witnessed first hand, including in Belfast, back in my days as a journalist.

Re: Corbyn wasn't alone in speaking to the IRA.
I worked in Belfast in the early 1990's. It was a frightening experience, and any return to anything like the troubles would be catastrophic.
Many brave politicians of all persuasions put peace ahead of their careers.
If we have no Brexit, that work could unravel.
With no Brexit, it is clearly a possibility for a return to violence.
It appears that some would relish it.

No deal Brexit.
But you were always happier to negotiate with a gun than with dialogue.
We're you an angry and violent child as well?
