Britains favourite weather girl dies aged 51.
Dianne Oxberry has died after a short battle with cancer.
Her death comes as a huge shock to many as she was working and on TV till very recently.
Dianne worked on local BBC radio and TV over the last 20 years but she also presented national BBC programmes prior to that.
RIP Dianne Oxberry.

I was really shocked and saddened by this. What kind of cancer did she have? Must have been undiagnosed for some time.

A lot of her fellow presenters were shocked too, lots were in tears talking about her this morning.
She had worked till just before Christmas, she walked for charity in November and looked so fit.
Whatever cancer she had it must have been very aggressive.

Quite often you can get diagnosed and then die within weeks. She was in the Christie, so she must have been having treatment. Perhaps the chemo saw her off. Who knows.

I dont know, but whatever it was it was quick.
One of her friends said she didn't have time to sort things out....presumably he meant it happened so quickly from diagnosis to death.
She was lovely....there was a nice 30 minute tribute to her on bbc tv last night.
