Paddy Ashdown
R.I.P.
A very distinguished army career and he was a politician who commanded high respect from all sides of the House.
He dealt with his cancer in the stoic and courageous way we all knew he would.

Well, yo-yo knickers and Y-fronts are what many politicians are best remembered for!
That apart, he was probably one of the nicest people ever to enter politics and not to be seduced (word intended) by greed and self-service.
It's a pity there are not more like him today.

Re: Paddy Ashdown
I agree he did seem a decent and honourable man but as fallible as the rest of us. A lot more politicians are fallible without even a hint of decency and honour.
