Trump fires Sessions, Mueller to follow?

President Trump, two hours after a press conference in which he said it was too early to predict staff changes in the WH, has demanded, and obtained the resignation of AG Jeff Sessions.  It is widely agreed, and admitted, that it was because Sessions had recused himself from overseeing investigation into the Russia/Trump connection.

That investigation has netted 32 indictments so far, and Sessions didn't want to be counted among them. That group is composed of four former Trump advisers, 26 Russian nationals, three Russian companies, one California man, and one London-based lawyer. Six of these people (including now all four former Trump aides) have pleaded guilty. It has been a productive effort.

Trump has appointed as an interim replacement, one Matthew Whitaker, who as a Fox News announcer, had publicly criticized Mueller.  His political involvement in matters leading up to Sessions' termination, should cause him (Whitaker) to recuse himself as well, experts say. Quite possibly, the Bar Association might withdraw his license.

Time is short, and Mueller is about to announce his findings.  Looks like things are happening here and now.  

I gather he replaced Sessions with a fawning, lickspittle yes-man. IE business as usual.

That's about the size of it. Whitaker is a former Fox News talking head, who has laid out a strategy to defund the Mueller investigation, and thereby make termination unnecessary.
