Woman 'claimed she had been raped by her former boyfriend and ordered fake pregnancy belly on Amazon during sinister stalking campaign against him

A woman ordered a fake pregnancy belly on Amazon during a 'sinister' stalking campaign against her ex-boyfriend, a court heard. Jessica Nordquist, 25, broke up with former lover Mark Weekes, who she had met when they both worked at London ad company Unruly. But after the split last November, Nordquist carried out an increasingly menacing harassment campaign against her ex, Snaresbook Crown Court heard.

She posted messages online claiming he had raped her and ordered a fake silicon pregnancy belly from Amazon, jurors heard.

Nordquist, who is originally from Eagle River in Alaska and went to Northern State University in South Dakota, had moved to Unruly's London office from New York. She is now on trial for stalking, sending malicious communications and perverting course of justice at London's Old Bailey. She denies the charges.

Prosecutor Claire Robinson said the pair started dating in August last year but 'wanted different things' and broke up three months later.

The law really needs to come down hard on this idiots that make such appalling falsified claims, which can damage the reputation and careers of people. Not only that, they completely undermine victims of rape, through their false charges.

The bitterness some of these people must hold, that they would go to such lenghs to ruin the lifes of others, is appalling.
