Jeremy Corbyn is dubbed ‘too stupid’ to tackle Labour Party anti-Semitism in leaked account of his meeting with Jewish leaders last month
[*]Labour leader met with Board of Deputies of British Jews and Jewish Leadership Council at his Commons office
[*]Leaked account described him as ‘bored, uninterested and condescending’ during the meeting
[*]However he sprang into life with a ‘convulsion’ when told his support for ‘two state solution’ in rift between Israel and Palestine meant he was a ‘Zionist'

Re: Jeremy Corbyn is dubbed ‘too stupid’ to tackle Labour Party anti-Semitism in leaked account of his meeting with Jewish leaders last month
Two months ago, Labour MPs, their supporters and members of the Jewish community gathered in Parliament Square to protest against anti-Semitism in the Labour Party. Their voices were loud, the pledge passionate and clear. If they could not reclaim their party, they would at least reclaim its soul.
A ‘cesspit’ of anti-Semitism was engulfing Labour, they said. Its proud heritage as the leading, progressive, anti-racist force in British politics was being subsumed beneath a tidal wave of anti-Jewish hatred. The time had come to drain the swamp. ‘Enough is enough’ was the rallying cry.
But now the truth has finally emerged. Indeed, it has come slithering and belching out of the Labour cesspit, oozing red slime.
Far from being confronted, anti-Semitism is being entrenched. Jeremy Corbyn’s pledge ‘I will never be anything other than a militant opponent of anti-Semitism’ has been exposed and discredited.
And far from rededicating Labour to its historic, anti-racist mission, he and his spokesman are loudly defending the right of his party and its activists to be openly and brazenly anti-Semitic.
The official minutes taken by leaders of the Jewish community during their April meeting with Corbyn and his team have been obtained by The Mail on Sunday. And they are instructive.

Excellent article and well worth the read
Sadly its true, that labour has been over run, by militant far left extremists. Thankful the country is starting to wake up to that reaility.

I’m not well-versed in politics, (mainly due to the lies I have always heard which leads me to not want to listen anymore), but Labour certainly seems to have changed a lot over the years.

Labour represents an interest (labour), as do Tories (wealth & privilege). In the US Republicans alone represent special interests, usually wealth. Only the Democrats promote the general weal.
Only the party representing the general weal has no incentive to lie. If you represent the general weal, what would be the purpose of lying? You want the truth in order to determine the commonweal. If your purposes are pure, what is the benefit in lying?

that's is the most Hilarious Statement I have ever read in a long time
Democrats ALSO represent wealth & privilege, just with lip service to Secular Ideals like inclusion and diversity. instead of lip service to traditional religious nonsense like conservatives.
they might be left of Republicans but they are still largely Right of Tories and Liberals(LNP)
the benefit of lying is so people like yourself defend them
Labour Represents the Socialist Union movement that founded it
The Labour Party was founded in 1900, having grown out of the trade union movement and socialist parties of the nineteenth century. It overtook the Liberal Party to become the main opposition to the Conservative Party in the early 1920s
In Australia it is interesting that the 'conservatives' were the party that died and we are left with Liberal Democrats(LNP) and Socialist/Unionists Democrats(Labor)

the problem is that today labour no longer represent the working class, just the chattering class.Original Quill wrote:eddie wrote:I’m not well-versed in politics, (mainly due to the lies I have always heard which leads me to not want to listen anymore), but Labour certainly seems to have changed a lot over the years.

the tories represent the working class more than labour do now and have done more for them than labour ever has

on the surface. Blair is hated more by current labour than almost any other group, but he was the only one who has made the party electable in 42 years.eddie wrote:I’m not well-versed in politics, (mainly due to the lies I have always heard which leads me to not want to listen anymore), but Labour certainly seems to have changed a lot over the years.
Parties get elected because they have broad appeal.
the fact the current labour party are still behind in the polls after what is essentially 8 years of tory gov and with a tory party in disarray shows exactly how unelectable they are.
the only thing more divided than the tories at the moment is the labour party. !72 of its mp's have no confidence in the leader, 100 members of the shadow cabinet have either resigned or been sacked in the last couple of years. the party has had almost 100 different positions on brexit, it almost changes daily, despite campaigning on a manifesto to leave it all.
