Porn Scandal Councillor To Be UKIP Parliamentary Candidate

A controversial former deputy leader of Leicestershire County Council has been selected as a parliamentary candidate to fight the Bosworth seat for UKIP.

David Sprason was sacked from the Conservative Party in January last year after it was revealed that he had been using his council laptop to view pornographic films.

A letter sent to Mr Sprason on the subject by a council monitoring officer was leaked to a local newspaper.

He was caught when he handed the laptop into IT workers for repair, having forgotten to remove a DVD entitled "She Likes It Rough" from the disc drive.

Following his sacking he then joined UKIP and was re-elected as a county councillor in May, leading UKIP's group on Leicestershire County Council.

Sprason was welcomed with open arms following his defection to UKIP by party leader Nigel Farage, and by East Midlands MEP Roger Helmer.

So he watches a porno here and there....and the problem is?

one has to ask...although he "used" his council lap top...

firstly it was a DVD....not on the hard drive
second...did he watch it during "work hours"

Would he have been fired if the DVD had been a Disney one?

Or are the Tories trying to sell the illusion that decent people never ever use porn in any shape?

I beg to ask the question, would it have made a difference to the comments in relation to peoples stance on this if the video had been ' He likes it rough'.

Yeah unless he actually watched it during work hours I'm not seeing the problem- and tbh even if he did; bad as it would be, there are worse things...

At the end of the day his local electorate re-elected him afterwards knowing what was found, and even though he had changed parties. I think this tells its own story.

But some will view him as seedy and grotty, not the type of MP many would want.

And as mentioned, if he was viewing porn in working hours then that's a no- no.

It seems UKIP are happy to accept many Tory tainted left-overs.

Don't see anything wrong with this at all.

Apart from the media hounding a political party - they show no respect for the electorate at all.

JD the guy left a DVD in his laptop.
There is no suggestion that the DVD is illegal.

May I recommend "She Likes It Rough" - I used to have the DVD but unfortunately had a mishap with it and now it's gone...
