4-year-old boy found locked in meth house closet told deputies that rats and roaches were his ‘friends’

A 4-year-old Texas boy found locked in a closet had meth in his system and told police he befriended vermin that would visit him.

Deputies said the child was forced to spend most of his days confined to the closet in a Harris County house where he was exposed to drugs and witnessed unspeakable things, reported KTRK-TV.

Investigators executed a search warrant Dec. 20 at the West Memorial home, where deputies believed someone was making and selling methamphetamine, and they found the boy locked inside a closet — not far from drug paraphernalia and pornography.

“The detail on this case is very awful,” said Rachel Leal-Hudson, who is representing the boy during custody hearings. “This is a 4-year-old child who has seen things an adult should not have seen.”

I don't mean to compare her case and this case, on that level. But bad things continue to rain down upon Harris County, and I think they bring it on themselves.

Never heard of sassy Bland, had to google. Traffic stop and 3 days later she is still in a cell?! Also unless I have missed something I'm not sure that the suspicious death of an adult has anything to do with a child found in a crack den.

It's the Houston-greater SMSA--Waller, Montgomery, Harris and Galveston counties.

Texas is so huge that it takes up whole regions, many good areas, good people, but some bad apples. Houston is not a nice place. It's the old "Deep South" part of Texas.

The Houston area is basically akin to New Orleans, which is bad.

Like I said above I can only hope as he is so young that with therapy, time and lots of love that he will be able to live a normal, healthy and happy life.
