Man 'cements' head in microwave: The extreme lengths YouTubers go to for viral fame Empty Man 'cements' head in microwave: The extreme lengths YouTubers go to for viral fame

The dangerous risks some YouTubers will take in their quest for viral fame hit a fresh low this week when firefighters were called to rescue a vlogger who cemented his head into a microwave.

West Midlands Fire said they were “seriously unimpressed” with Jay Swingler’s antics having spent over an hour trying to free him, warning he could have “easily suffocated” during the reckless stunt.

“This is the day where I probably kill myself, do not try this at home,” Swingler said while recording the careless stunt.

The incident highlighted the dark side of a sometimes desperate pursuit of YouTube stardom, but the stunt also worked - helping boost Swingler’s profile by racking up more than a million hits.

It’s just one of many high profile incidents involving YouTube stars risking their lives or breaking the law for the sake of 15 minutes of YouTube fame.

Uh what?

Where did you get that from?

I’m saying, and I think Vic is too, that we should charge idiots who use up valuable resources when they INTENTIONALLY do something that is incredibly dangerous and stupid.

So you are saying we should privatize health care?

So where do you want to draw the line?

People who smoke?

Drink alcohol and drugs in excess?

Indulge in chocolates?

Shall i continue?

scratch

Dodge apparently doesn't understand the actual concept of "privitisation"...

Let's add that to the likes of "communism, Marxism, socialism, altruism" amongst an ever-growing list of terms that Didge keeps on misrepresenting across his arguments on here..

No its very simple

We either have a free health care that pays the cost even when people are idiots, or we make it private.

Cass and Victor think we should charge people for incompetance

Does that make a it a free health care?

Shall we make dying patients that cause an accident simple die?

People who do "extreme" sports should pay when they have an accident, or take out insurance to cover themselves !

The NHS wasn't involved anyway, it was the fire service that freed him.

so should fat people who eat McDonald every five minutes

they should also be charged for their treatment

and gender reassignment should only ever be a chargeable operation carried out by private clinic not paid for by the tax payer

See what hate causes and has been started by Elmer Fudd.

To deny people a free NHS, that now people think some should pay for health based on prejudice

So basically no.

Smoking is a bad habit, drinking too, but the reasons people do both are not idiotic. They are either social or stress relievers. Drug addicts also have problems of their own and accidents are accidents. There are debates to be had on how much the NHS should treat all those things, but it certainly should.

Getting your head stuck like this is pure avoidable idiocy.

Of course, you know none of us want to destroy the NHS, and as usual are twisting things for argument's sake.

I have never heard so much gibberish in all my life

Drinking and smoking are some of the most biggest killers of people and cost the NHS millions and you say its a bad habbit? When people have a choice on this?

At least we now understand you advocate discrimination, based now on stupidity.

Wow

So any child that gets its head stuck into something, which happens constantly, should be at the expense of the parents and not the NHS.

Good to know that is your stance

So now a moderator backing a poster who claims to have me on ignore, deliberately derailing a thread.

But what can anyone expect from Corbyn worshippers.

They cannot respond to reasoned points, so instead try to deligitimise the poster instead

Priceless
