Humans to Blame for Climate Change, Government Report Says
Humans are to blame. That's the verdict of an executive-branch government report concluding that Homo sapiens are the dominant cause of planetary warming since the mid-20th century.
The climate report, released today (Nov. 3), paints a dire picture of the present and future effects of global climate change, from sea levels that could rise by as much as 8 feet (2.4 meters) by 2100, to more-frequent heat waves and other extreme weather events. It is also in stark contrast to climate change stances taken by Fake President Trump, who has ranged from calling it a hoax to saying he had an "open mind" about whether human-caused climate change is actually happening.
"Many lines of evidence demonstrate that it is extremely likely that human influence has been the dominant cause of the observed warming since the mid-20th century," the authors wrote. "Over the last century, there are no convincing alternative explanations supported by the extent of the observational evidence."

Its like a broken record.
What astounds me is why he is so scared to look at the evidence?

The "money grabbing dogs" are the assorted company shills, paid lobbyists, 'owned' piliticians, spin doctors and advertising companies working in the 'Climate Denial' industry...
While their "pay masters" would be those mining, oil, and gas companies and other polluting corporations, that are profiting excessively from their combined exploitation and slow-but-steady destruction of this planet..
With the Koch Bros. being the biggest single donors to the denialist cause.
And you and TommyMonk being perfect examples of their unpaid clueless patsies..
You keep on denying climate change, SmellyScienceIsBunkumTrollski -- and yet not once have you managed to provide any corroborating evidence to back your lunatic rants on here !?!

you sound like one of the witch hunters of the inquisition.
there isnt anything to do deny, man-made climate change is a myth created by the likes of al gore to make money.
the thing i don't get is why do peasants like you worship the gods of climate change??

I have shown evidence that most of the last 8000 years has seen as warm and warmer times, with lower CO2 levels... also the mere existence of plant species such as the Giant Sequoia tree shows that we have had millions of years of warmer temps as the norm...!
People like fleakeeper and handy can keep denying this 'inconvenient truth', but the facts remain!!!

Re: Humans to Blame for Climate Change, Government Report Says
So, if humans caused it all by themselves, what are we going to do about it? Do we go back to horse and carriage and candles, are solar and wind power going to be enough, the population of the world is constantly growing, one of the biggest problems when it comes down to it, even though Europe's birth rate is falling drastically, all these people expect to keep what they have light, heat, personal transport and entertainment as and when required and more and more people in developing countries obviously want the same. The only solutions that seem to have come around so far are expecting people to pay more for everything which doesn't really hurt people in the higher economic levels but causes great
problems for the ordinary people. I already know people who have to literally decide if they put the heating on or have something to eat, they already pay more for gas and electric on prepay system. The poorest already have a small carbon footprint, no car, hardly any heating, etc.

Vintage... did you read my earlier post (shown in above quote)...?
Also... another natural indicator of there being warmer and cooler times throughout history...
'...The locations of vineyards across the UK during the last 2,000 years and what they may tell us about how our climate has changed will be tackled in a lecture by Professor Richard Selley of Imperial College London on Wednesday 2 June.
Professor Selley's examination of wineland geology has resulted in the compilation of a database mapping the locations of over 500 ancient and modern British vineyards. He says:
"Wild vines have grown in Britain for over 50 million years. Only in the Ice Age of the last 2 million years have they retreated, returning during warmer phases such as the present one.
"The use of vines as a marker for climate change was first suggested some 2,000 years ago by the Roman writer Saserna. This study is another illustration of the old dictum that we inhabit this planet courtesy of its geology."
Professor Selley's lecture, based on findings published in his book 'Winelands of Britain', will illustrate the changing face of UK vineyards through the Roman and medieval warm phases, and the 'Little Ice Age' of the 15th to 19th centuries, to the modern warm phase of the industrial revolution...'

What's the point in worrying about peoples' futures, local economies or personal welfare issues -- if the planet becomes so fucked-up in the meantime, by the fossil fuel industries and polluting industries, that it is no longer livable ???
You cannot eat and breathe money, once the environment is so far degraded that mankind can no longer grow food, drink clean water, or breathe the air..
No-one here is claiming that "climate change" is totally down to human activity alone -- but rather that the accumulating effects from burning of fossil fuels, deforrestation, and unbridled industrial activity over the past three centuries is greatly increasing that rate of change..
The negatives that you suggest above (horses, lack of electricity, rising costs of living, etc..) that might result from winding-back current pollution are pure bullshit propaganda -- courtesy of the fossil fuel producers, their paid lobbyists, and unpaid anti-science shill twats the likes of Tommy and SmellyArseBrain.
The solutions to reduce the rate of climate change damage really aren't all that hard :
* Double the current rates of re-forrestation efforts -- and increase biodiversity at the same time;
* Phase out the burning of Fossil fuels -- both in transport, and power generation;
* Make the corporations pay their way, and face up to their responsibilities;
* Make those companies pay a fair and proper share of taxes;
* Bans against airmand water pollution from industry;
* Improved agricultural and forestry practices;
* And, stop fucking up the oceans -- which should include international bans on harvesting krill and plankton; bans on whaling, long-lining and gill-netting; and bans on polluting waterways, beaches and oceans..
And, shoot all of those parasitic industry lobbyists...

Tommy claims "facts", but all he keeps on doing is rehashing his usual denialist propaganda rubbish and misconstrued half-truths..

Still haven't produced any actual evidence yet, to back your half-witted denialist nonsense claims I see, oh SmellyArrogantTrollster..

------ and control the growth of populations, less people less strain on the limited resources. I agree and always have agreed that humans have contributed to the hastening of climate change and the awful consequences that come with it but have not done it all themselves but its talked about as if humans can stop the whole thing if done quickly enough.
We can't stop it, however much we have contributed we can only do all you said to try and relieve the impact and educate the next generations to be more responsible than prevoius generations.
