May's conference speech.
Oh dear.
Her voice is as broken as her party.
No doubt she had plenty of practice rehearsals of her coughing whilst listening to Boris's litany of foot in mouth gaffes.
Everyone can get a bug.
But she looks pale, drawn, tired and unwell. Her Diabetes cannot help either.
Is she rugged and robust enough to lead the country?
We need a strong commanding PM in these troubled and difficult times.
Corbyn certainly is.

Corbyn thinks Venezuela is the model of socialist success, they don't even have paracetamol in that country.
If Corbyn comes in, you will be looking back with fond nostalgia at the waiting times for hospital appointments under a tory government while youre cutting out that mole with your leatherman

Re: May's conference speech.
I didn't moan about her. Actually had sympathy as she must have found it tough , knowing she had 30 mins of speech to give.
That said, what she did say was pretty thin gruel.

Re: May's conference speech.
I saw her speech... heard loads of stuff about being pro immigration/immigrants, and about how lovely black/brown people are, and about how she wanted to do more for all of them...
Could have easily been a speech used at labour conference... and would have got standing ovation there!!!

Re: May's conference speech.
I like Mrs May... I'd much rather have a normal person like her as PM than a 'tv celeb' type puppet, with their 'slick but full of trick' style of 'lies and spin' politics...!!!
For May to be a great PM... she has to stop doing what looks very much to me like what Brown did after Blair... with respect to her trying to be something she is not...
Blair was a very slick, tv savvy and manipulative presence on screen... a great 'snake oil salesman'...!
Brown was none of this... and would have done better by just being himself, and by not being the 'cheesy bumwipe' that Blair was (and that everyone had become so sick of)...
But Brown must have been getting advice to try to be more like Blair, because there are plenty of clips of him trying to act all happy and lively, and putting on a big cheesy grin etc... which did him no favours at all... as he just looked false and uncomfortable etc... which in turn came across to everyone watching as being untrustworthy and disengenuous...!
I think that TM is getting similar bad advice to be more 'tv slick' etc... but she would do better to ignore it, as people will like her more by her being herself more!!!

Re: May's conference speech.
I felt sorry for her. She had a cold and couldn't stop coughing. How embarrassing for her. It's happened to us all at some point. Glad I wasn't delivering a speech when it happened to me.

Re: May's conference speech.
So what if she had a bit of a sore throat and a bit of a cough etc, a couple of times during speech...!?
All the more praise due for her getting up and doing it while being a bit 'under the weather'...!
It was only a party conference speech after all... nothing really to do with her job as PM and running the country...!

Re: May's conference speech.
never actually saw the speech but think she's a bit of a dead loss tbh
she's got no ooomph in her at all
she isn't exactly what i would call dynamic
she just seems bland, robotic and generally unintersted in what she's doing
just what this country needs

I saw the highlights (well more her lowlights) when the man handed her the P45.....i thought she handled that OK. Her coughing fit, which was unfortunate, but she carried on regardless, and the sign falling down behind her......she didnt even notice that.
I dont like her, but i like Corbyn less.

Re: May's conference speech.
She's amazing, it takes a special person to make that much of a fuck up. First the coughing, no, she couldn't help that, but then again she's trying to pretend to be strong and stable, whereas in reality she has diabetes and will be prone to all that. Next the comedian and the P45, she didn't have the personality to turn it to her advantage, it wouldn't have been difficult. Then she wore a bracelet covered in self portraits of a very famous communist artist, how crass was that. Finally, it was revealed that a whole section of her speech was lifted from The West Wing. If you are going to fuck up, do it big time, and she did. Apart from the bit from the West Wing, the rest of it was rubbish and lies, promising stuff watered down from the Labour Party and leaving a huge unresolved hole in their budget, because none of it was costed in their manifesto. Pathetic.

Oh, and I hate to be the one to break it to you, but JC insisted on campaigning in this by-election in East Worthing & Shoreham.. Last night we won with 49.3% of vote, a 29.7% increase

Re: May's conference speech.
I also think many people like Gelico rightly says, is that people are buying the bullshit Corbyn comes out with, when he continually offers a carrot on a stick. Where people are so blinded to that carrot, they never see how much that carrot will actually cost.
Not only that, Corbyn is a friend to racists who hate Jews, which very much worries and concerns people.
Plus the fact we know how exactly he will deal with Islamic extremism.
Not only that, Corbyn is a friend to racists who hate Jews, which very much worries and concerns people.
Yesterday Guido revealed how an anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist ran a stall at Labour conference. He is now under investigation by the party…Today it emerges Tapash Abu Shaim received a tour of Parliament given by none other than Jeremy Corbyn. Jez tweeted to Shaim to say it was “a pleasure” showing him and other Palestine Solidarity Campaign members around. Shaim and Jez still follow each other on Twitter. Jez is a patron of PSC; sources tell Guido Shaim is a high-ranking member. It’s surprising Shaim was only in the exhibition hall and not on the conference stage…Four months before he met Corbyn in Parliament, Shaim posted on Facebook “9/11 Truth could be the answer to the Israel/Palestine conflict”, along with a link to an article to Veterans Today, a far-right US website which publishes anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.Jez gave a personal parliamentary tour to a man promoting anti-Semitic material online…
Plus the fact we know how exactly he will deal with Islamic extremism.
Jeremy Corbyn has recently declared that now is the time to negotiate with ISIS. Upon hearing this news I quickly called up my old friend Dr. Emmett Brown and travelled into the future in his 1985 DeLorean and transcribed the future negotiation between the UK Labour Party and ISIS.
Here it is.Corbyn: Gentlemen, thank you for accepting our invitation for negotiations, I believe that we can reach a common understanding that will produce a peaceful outcome for all of us.ISIS: Allahu ackbarCorbyn: Yes, Allahu ackbar indeed. Shall we begin?ISIS: Yes. These are our demands:[*]The infidels shall convert to Islam or die.
[*]An Islamic caliphate to rule all of Europe.
[/list]Corbyn: …. aaaaand?ISIS: …Corbyn: Very well, do you believe there is any way we can compromise on this demand?ISIS: …Corbyn: OK, we have a number of racist people in our country who feel that Islam is not the best choice for a religion… I know racist right? Anyway, they may be less inclined to..ISIS: (slowly unsheathes a large knife)Corbyn: Oh woah woah ok… I’ll see what I can do.ISIS: (pulls out large knife and points it at Corbyn)Corbyn: OK OK, agreed. … wait… if someone chooses not to convert what if we can agree on a kind of… compensation.ISIS: (talks amongst themselves) … compensation? Money? He’s talking about Jizya. Ahh yes Jizya!(to Corbyn) we may consider this Jizya.Corbyn: Ah great I see we’re making great progress.ISIS: But only if…Corbyn: … if what?ISIS: Our second demand is met.Corbyn: You mean.. the uh… European-wide Islamic Sharia enforced caliphate?ISIS: Yes.Corbyn: Oh yes of course. Anyone who doesn’t agree to this is a racist Islamophobe. Wait a second, why did you bring large knives into the negotiating room?ISIS: ….Corbyn: Never mind, let’s proceed. So far we agreed to the following terms:
- We give ISIS to Europe to rule
- We all convert to Islam
- Those who do not convert will pay a “Jizya” based on a percentage of their income.
Did we discuss a percentage yet?ISIS: 100%Corbyn: I’m sorry I didn’t quite catch th…ISIS: (Brandishes knife)Corbyn: One hundred percent.OK. So we are in agreement. We have a solid arrangement here and if anyone disagrees they are a racist Islamophobe.(All parties sign agreement)Excellent work gentlemen. By tomorrow, we will all be Shi’ite Muslims!(awkward silence)Oh crap.(ISIS decapitates Corbyn)

Hypthetical based on the reality he has called Hezbollah and Hamas, two terrorist Islamic extremism organisations, that are emphatically antisemitic as his friends.

Did you read or listen to the Labour manifesto? Talk about pie in the sky,
I suppose Corbyn will go down the garden and shake the money tree.
He was very vague when asked to explain where the money will come from to pay for all his ideas.

Everything went wrong. The speech was sponsored by Strepsils, imo. But on social media some tweeters are saying that ISIS has tried to claim responsibility as sponsors, too.
