Audrey Hepburn exhibition celebrates star’s enduring appeal
From her Burberry mac to Givenchy dress, the actor’s private possessions go on show in London before largest-ever auction

A five-day exhibition to precede the largest-ever auction of Audrey Hepburn’s private possessions will open at Christie’s auction house in London on Saturday, with some of its most enthusiastic visitors expected to be the late actor’s growing fanbase of teens and millennials. “An extraordinary migration has taken place,” said Sean Hepburn Ferrer, Hepburn’s eldest son. “Now, 50% of her fanbase are teens and tweens. She has replaced James head on that closet drawer in kids’ bedrooms. It’s quite extraordinary.

“I can only explain that by saying that children are very instinctive and, in a world of a lot of smoke and mirrors with social media, I think they feel there is something very real about her.”
Looking around the spotlit exhibition, it is perhaps no surprise that Hepburn should appeal to those who have discovered her on the very visual world of the internet.

To me, she is most probably the most beautiful celebrity there has been.
Others may disagree of of course and have their favorite, which i wonder who that is?

She was and still is the image of lasting beauty.
She still gets voted amongst the top when there are lists of the worlds most beautiful women almost 25 years after she died.

Just to add....beauty doesn't have to be an unlined dewy skin, she was just as beautiful as she aged, her face shone with life, wisdom and kindness.

She was gorgeous. So elegant. I did this piece of artwork of her. A CEO of a housing company bought it for his boardroom! She's always been a popular icon for feminine beauty.

Loads, I always thought Marilyn Monroe was stunning, and another three off the top of my head.
