[*]Dressed in a blue polo and jeans, he looks and acts like any other six-year-old boy
[*]Nobody would suspect that six-year-old Dexter Jones was actually born a girl
[*]Three years ago tomboyish Talia announced to her mother that she was a boy
Dexter Jones stands 4 ft 1 in tall, lithe and skinny as a whippet, with a mischievous smile and an appetite seemingly unsated by the entire punnet of blackberries he has just polished off. He adores Harry Potter — he knows all the wizards and spells — and would love to run in the Olympics one day. Dressed in a smart blue polo shirt and jeans, he looks and acts much like any other six-year-old boy. Nobody would suspect that Dexter was actually born a girl. Three years ago — without prompting from his mother, Mienna says — pretty, tomboyish Talia announced that she was a boy. Not that she wanted to be one, but that she actually was one. Now. And always had been.

She should let the girl be a girl. She's six, so the mother started doing this when she three. How the he'll would a child know about being a girl but dressing as a boy. The mother is confusing the child its so wrong.

The mother should take a step back and allow her child to find out who she is, not sway that. When many children grow out of this phase.
The mother is definitely in the wrong here magica and completely agree on that

I don't think this is a case of a little girl simply wanting to wear boys clothes, or the more usually reported a little boy wanting to wear a dress, which should be dissuaded imo and is very easily done and dusted.
This little girl looks like a boy, and feels so much like a boy, that is what she is in her mind.
I think this kid probably is transgender and when the time is right she should be helped to be what she was born to be.
In the meantime, there are plenty unisex clothes, let her be known as Dexter, and stop going on about gender so its a big issue.
Girls and boys of that age aren't treated very differently, just let her live her life like any 6 year old child would.

If the kid has a stand up piss with his winkle then he's a boy... if kid has a sit down piss with her fanny then she's a girl...
That doesn't mean either must like football OR netball... or that either must like action men OR dolls... or that either must like riding a BMX bike OR roller skates etc...
Some boys are a bit more 'action/adventure/rough&tough' type than other boys... that doesn't mean the other boys are really girls...
And some girls are more 'princess/hair&make-up/dolls&prams' type than other girls... that doesn't mean the other girls are really boys...
Maybe this kid shouldn't have been allowed to watch so many films at such a young age, that had age ratings of such higher age limits of suitability...
Kid is said to be 6 now... grown up on Harry Potter films with these age ratings...
