Too Many Sections
3rd February 2014
Just my opinion, but overdoing the different sections can just reduce people posting and make it harder to find the right section, therefore they just say "flip it" and post anywhere.
Having a UK section is usually good enough for most people - everything to do with the UK they can stick there, etc.
I reckon most just post on what pops up on latest topics now.
Just a thought.

Re: Too Many Sections
It's a way to more evenly distribute the posts, paricularly the posts about all the Muslims, foreigners and benefits cheats in the U.K. NewsFix is not meant to be only about those topics, so it would be nice to have a U.K. news section that contains stories besides those. Thus, U.K. crime beat, where you can post all the "Muslims/foreigners/benefits cheats are bad, mmkay?" stories you like.
Re: Too Many Sections
Surely members can post about what interests them Ben, or are we to post a furry-animal thread for each British current-affair thread?

Re: Too Many Sections
You can post about what interests you in the appropriate category. If you don't like that, here's a link for you:

lol
Take politics - politics is the news, having two separate sections isn't really necessary. I've seen it before on other forums and am just trying to help.
What makes it even more unnecessary is the fact that you've put the brilliant Latest Topics thingimajigga over on the right.
Strange how you've changed the forum after creating it how you wanted it though...

I've had to adjust it because of spamming of the U.K. News section with so many "foreigners are bad" stories.
Re: Too Many Sections
Actually, I should say "we," because this was discussed and agreed upon by the moderation team.
Nobody's being prevented from posting anything. It's just a way to promote a greater variety of topics showing up on the front page.
