[*]New book examines the legendary, vicious (and racist) French Foreign Legion

[*]Jean-Vincent Blanchard has penned a series on the infamous soldiers

I also had a quite romantic idea of the men who join and fight for the foreign legion...it probably bares no resemblance at all to the truth.

Sad, lost, and alone, they have nothing to live for and maybe something useful to die for...and of course they are all handsome and rugged. I love you
