The guy died because an inexperienced driver made a mistake.  Nothing sinister at all.   You don't turn to a married man because your own husband abandoned you.  Not if you've got any sense or compassion, and knowing what that pain feels like.

I know that, I don't think I have said she was right to have affairs with married men.

I don't think she ever tried to make herself out to be a saint either.

I was a kid when my parents divorced.  I loathed my stepfather.  But I wouldn't have dreamed of slapping my mother for daring to remarry.   Why would I?   Being a brat doesn't have any age limits.

When the relationship with her sister didn't work out for him he cast his eye onto her, like all young girls who manages to catch the man she has fancied for years, she was ready to fall in love, and I believe she did, and that's why she married him.

Obviously for him it was different, it was more of an arrangement to marry a virginal suitable woman to give him heirs...which she did.
