Was Diana murdered?
First topic message reminder :
According to a former Mi5 agent, he killed her.
Astounding confession made on his deathbed.
Ordered by Phillip as she was a threat to the monarchy.
As plausable as most theories.

Re: Was Diana murdered?
Well really - the man was supposed to be teaching her how to speak publically, not prying into her private life.

Yes he was her voice coach. He is a creep to record her and then sell the recordings years after she died.
It shows how gullible she was though, she knew she was in front of camera, and she certainly didn't try to paint herself in a good light...she is open and honest.

Diana had a flirtation with her married bodyguard. She knew he had a wife and carried on anyway. Did she consider that woman's feelings? I doubt it.
She never painted herself as an angel did she?
She said she turned to him because Charles had abandoned her, she claimed she fell in love with him, he was duly sacked, and soon after he died.
Prince Charles told her he was dead a couple of minutes before she had to face the press at some gala or other....very spiteful.
She thought he may have been murdered...she was possibly right.
The guy died because an inexperienced driver made a mistake. Nothing sinister at all. You don't turn to a married man because your own husband abandoned you. Not if you've got any sense or compassion, and knowing what that pain feels like.

I remember seeing some footage of her being interviewed and she told how she slapped her father's face for remarrying after his divorce. Like her father has no life of his own and no choice to get on with his life by remarrying someone of his choice? You'd think her and her siblings would have wished him all the best, even if they didn't like his choice of wife.
I think that's understandable though.
Why?

I know that, I don't think I have said she was right to have affairs with married men.
I don't think she ever tried to make herself out to be a saint either.

Some went over the top, but I think the majority of people took to her because she was human, and humans are not perfect.

Because of the shock of the divorce, and then his remarriage to someone she didn't like. I think it's normal to feel some kind of resentment under those circumstances.

Resentment maybe, and hurt. But to get physical? No excuse for that. That's spoiled brat behaviour.

She was only 14 or 15, and she felt rejected.

I was a kid when my parents divorced. I loathed my stepfather. But I wouldn't have dreamed of slapping my mother for daring to remarry. Why would I? Being a brat doesn't have any age limits.

Apparently, she had felt rejected before they even split up because they always argued and weren't very affectionate to her. He got custody so she lost her mother, and she was looked after by nannies. Maybe she thought that some attention from her father would make up for that, and instead he got another woman.

And very probably why she married in haste.

Re: Was Diana murdered?
I don't think she did marry in haste.
Her older sister dated Prince Charles and she had a crush on him even then.
When the relationship with her sister didn't work out for him he cast his eye onto her, like all young girls who manages to catch the man she has fancied for years, she was ready to fall in love, and I believe she did, and that's why she married him.
Obviously for him it was different, it was more of an arrangement to marry a virginal suitable woman to give him heirs...which she did.

Oh yeah...I lived in Los Angeles and had a big, white Olds, drop-top. Summer, I would cruise the beaches, top down, and the radio booming
Hot town, summer in the city
Back of my neck getting dirty 'n gritty
Been down, isn't it a pity
Doesn't seem to be a shadow in the city
All around, people looking half dead
Walking on the sidewalk, hotter than a match head
Hot babes in white bikinis...
