Jeremy Corbyn addressed a rally including hundreds of members of the banned extremist group Al-Muhajiroun, Guido can reveal. In May 2002 Corbyn gave a speech at a highly controversial anti-Israel demo at Trafalgar Square, attended by former terrorists and supporters of Hezbollah. A contemporaneous report by the communist Weekly Worker newspaper says up to 300 members of Al-Muhajiroun were present. The newspaper reported that some were dressed as mock suicide bombers and others chanted “gas, gas Tel Aviv”. This is from the extraordinary Weekly Worker* report:
“Al Muhajiroun held placards reading ‘Palestine is Muslim’. They chanted, “Skud, Skud Israel” and “Gas, gas Tel Aviv”, along with their support for bin Laden. Two would-be suicide posers were dressed in combat fatigues with a ‘bomb’ strapped to their waists. This section accounted for no more than 200-300, but they made a noise far out of proportion to their numbers… The rally was also addressed by Labour MPs Jeremy Corbyn and George Galloway.”
Below are photos from the event…
Al-Muhajiroun is a proscribed terrorist organisation which was led by the infamous radical Islamists Omar Bakri Muhammad and the jailed Anjem Choudary. Several of its members have committed terrorist attacks and the group has been linked to the 7/7 bombings, the murder of Lee Rigby as well as dozens of other attacks and plots. London Bridge attacker Khuram Butt was a supporter of Al-Muhajiroun. What was Corbyn doing anywhere near them, let alone addressing an audience which included 300 of their members?
*The Weekly Worker is pro-Corbyn so this cannot be a “smear from the Tory press”.

OMG, did you actually read who he was there with Eddie?
You do realise that Hamas and Hezbollah are defined as terrorist organisations Eddie, let alone Al-Muhajiroun being banned.
Those opposed to the occupation should be giving such organisations a wide birth. Its fine to be critical of Israel and oppose its policies. Its completely abhorrent to stand side by side with groups that wish to eradicate the Jews.
Are you seriously making the view its okay to speak at event backing terrorists and banned extremist organisations?
Then tell me why its okay to hate a nation in Israel to exist?
Do they argue with the right of Pakistan and Bangladesh to exist, both nations created for the majority of a Muslim populace from within India?
Where is their call to destroy these nations?
That rally was more than just anti Israel
Its the same repeated problem, the call for the domination and control by Islam

Re: Jeremy Corbyn addressed a rally including hundreds of members of the banned extremist group Al-Muhajiroun,
I’ll keep this brief because this one point is all that needs to be said:
Jeremy Corbyn and his friends – like Ken Livingstone, George Galloway, those who lead the Stop the War Coalition and Socialist Action and Momentum – have been the leading enablers of Islamism in the UK.
They now expect us to believe that the fight against Islamism and its violent terrorist expression is in safe hands with them. These are the people who invited Islamist groups into leftwing coalitions. These are the people who smeared liberal commentators – including us at Harry’s Place – as racists and Islamophobes for warning against the poison of hate-preachers and fake human rights groups like Cage. These are the people who sanitised and mainstreamed Islamist ideologues like Yusuf Qaradawi. These are the people who vilified our police and armed forces. They are the people who provided the political cover as London became a centre for Islamist radicalisation.
And now they claim they can defend us.
PS. Watch Jeremy Corbyn join Cage’s Moazzam Begg to protest extradition of terror suspects to the US.
