Certainly an interesting concept. Never even heard of it before.

Story is predictable: at the end he falls for the tracker, and chooses her over the Cherry 2000.  Also, not without hyperbole and humor. Griffith is great because, with her voice, she can really play that kind of drôle humor.

There was a TV programme a while ago about men who had their own life like dolls. Some had quite a collection. When parts of them became worn out (don't ask ) they would pack them very carefully up and send them to a renewal centre....where a small family business made and repaired the dolls.

It may be a niche market, but it seemed to be a pretty profitable one...and it seems to be growing.
