Do Israeli settlements violate international law? Could they be preventing the formation of a Palestinian state? Professor Eugene Kontorovich says they don't. Why? Watch the video!

Jerusalem U sat down with Professor Kontorovich of Northwestern University, an expert on International law and the Arab-Israeli conflict, to hear his take on Israeli settlements.

A little background: Israeli settlements are communities of Jews living in Eastern Jerusalem and the West Bank. Jews have lived in these areas for centuries, until the 1948 War of Independence, when Jordan occupied these areas and kicked out all the Jewish residents.

Are Israel's borders legal? Well, are the borders of Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan legal? Professor Eugene Kontorovich says they all are. Why? Watch the video!

Jerusalem U sat down with Professor Kontorovich of Northwestern University, an expert on International law and the Arab-Israeli conflict, to hear his take on whether Israeli control of the West Bank and East Jerusalem is an illegal occupation.

He covers the Geneva Convention, League of Nations Mandate, Oslo Accords, United Nations Resolution 242 and more.

United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334 is trying to make it illegal (and a WAR CRIME) for a Jew to live in East Jerusalem! And it has earned bi-partisan rejection in the US congress. Why? Watch the video to hear what Professor Eugene Kontorovich has to say about this.

Spoiler: It would be racist to kick a religious/ethnic group (Jews) out of the city!
