A Romanian doctor who skipped bail after being caught with horrific images of child abuse and animal mutilation as he entered Britain has been jailed.
Ioan Boila, 55, of Alba Iulia, Romania, told border officials who stopped him in Dover, Kent, that he was on his way to a job interview as an NHS locum doctor.
But his car was then searched and police discovered DVDs containing obscene images of women torturing animals.
His phone, computer, and password-protected hard drive were then analysed following his arrest in January 2013.
National Crime Agency officers found more than 7,000 pornographic videos of sex with animals and graphic mutilation. Eight films had scenes of child abuse.

I'm not sure which is the more horrible...the fact that this monster is a doctor, or the fact that people are merrily making torture and snuff movies in this day and age.

People like him should be castrated and spend their lives in prison along with the child abuser and the rest of the nonces. A bloody doctor too!

I think you were hearing what you wanted to hear -- he'd been imprisoned for four months, and the judge sentenced him to time served:

A Romanian A&E doctor – on his way to Britain register for a job with the NHS – was found to be carrying depraved movies with him.

And in the boot of his car, which was stopped at Dover Eastern Docks, officers discovered videos depicting appalling sex acts involving animals – together with child sex images on a USB and hard drive.

But last night 56-year-old dad-of-one Dr Ioan Boila walked from court after receiving a sentence which allowed him his immediate freedom.

He was arrested four years ago when officers discovered the external hard drive found in a bag in his car was password protected and encrypted.

After lengthy forensic examinations it was found to contain films depicting the mutilation of animals for sexual gratification and child sex.

Boila had already jumped bail and only returned to the UK last November after the National Crime Agency successfully obtained a European Arrest Warrant.

The doctor has spent the past four months on remand after admitting five sex offences.

But now a judge at Canterbury Crown Court has given him a four-month jail sentence for the offences, which means he is free because of time served.

Boila initially denied his “collection” was illegal in Romania – but later claimed he had the pictures and videos for “research purposes”.

Four months? Bloody appalling sentence. People get more for theft!

And allowed to slope off back to Romania... probably without any further checks/restrictions on him...

Article says he has a daughter... is she safe?

Is there a sex offenders register in Romania?

Is he going to be put on it?

Will he be checked on a Romanian CRB list and prevented from working in areas where he could be a danger to others?



While I remember aanother story not long ago where a foreign national convicted of sex offences here, avoided deportation because the judge ruled that he must be put on the uk sex offenders register and must stay here to sign it for a number of years!!!???

You couldn't make it up could you.

We get so many rejects here. That Romanian is still here and will go back and forth with impunity. What will it take for Judges to sentence him to a long sentence then deport him? Wait til he rapes a kid?.
