More Anti-Vaccine Nonsense from Trump and Kennedy
We have an anti-vaccine president. One of my concerns about Trump the candidate was that one of his most consistent positions over the years was blaming vaccines for the alleged autism epidemic (there isn’t one, by the way). Once elected it did not take long for this to manifest as a policy priority. In January Trump met with RFK Jr. to discuss him heading an Orwellian commission on vaccine safety and scientific integrity.
At a recent meeting with educators, Trump continued to express his false belief in a “tremendous increase” in autism:
“The autism?” Really?

At a recent meeting with educators, Trump continued to express his false belief in a “tremendous increase” in autism:
“Have you seen a big increase in the autism with the children?” Trump asked Jane Quenneville, the principle of a Virginia public school that specializes in special education. Quenneville responded that she had.Trump continued: “So what’s going on with autism? When you look at the tremendous increase, it’s really such an incredible — it’s really a horrible thing to watch, the tremendous amount of increase. Do you have any idea?”

Not only is Trump himself lying through his teeth in this instance, but has found at least one compliant and braindead school principal -- apparently with an eye on possible future tie-in funding increases (?) -- to help bolster his wrong-headed and irrational posturings...
As for collaborating with RFK jnr, on the possibility setting up an anti-science think-tank and propaganda arm -- nothing like involving another muddle-headed and addle-brained reprobate for their anti-vax crusade..

Okay as you both know my feelings on this matter I am not going to sit here arguing about vaccines except to say, there's nothing wrong with Trump wishing to look into to make sure it's safe.
That's all.
That's all.

Trump's not going to "look into" anything in a productive way, though...
He's already made up his mind (what remains of it..).
Despite his obvious lack of any scientific education or training, he seems determined to set up an anti-science propaganda group.
First he planted a born again evangelist/creationist climate denialist in charge of Environment; than he appointed a stupid anti-public-education heiress to Education..
And now he's throwing his weight behind the anti-vaxxers, scamsters and other ratbags...

I can't say that I agree with Trump on this, but his background is real estate and business -- not medicine.
In the US, the anti-vaccine stance is usually one taken up by the Liberals, or those who follow alt/wholistic medicine philosophies.
Hollywood Liberals Jenny McCarthy and Bill Maher are perhaps the most outspoken, in support of anti-vaccination.

Once again, I/T's false and plain wrong-headed misuse of the term "liberals" shows that he has absolutely no idea of what the word means...
You really must educate yourself better, Comrade NITsky, if you ever want to be taken more seriously on here..
"Liberals", indeed !

Nobody cares how the word "Liberal" is used in Botswana, or whatever country you're from.
This is the US Politics thread. In here we use American terms, son.

Exactly
the USA DOES NOT HAVE A LIBERAL PARTY !!!
you have Democrats and Republicans,
Use the party names instead of localized slang that is not relevant on an international forum
