See.... I just got me a 2 Watt violet diode laser unit to fit to my cnc machine, so as to be able to engrave wooden items with it.....

well...i set it up on my test bench...pointing out the door to a wooden fence some 20meters away, and fired it up ....at that distance of course ,,no effect on fence...I didnt expect there would be.

back to workshop avoiding beam (will blind in seconds)

and......fly flies through bean at about the focal point of 3 inches

ZAP...one fried fly.......shot down trailing smoke.......


nope...I aint putting me fingers anywhere near that...... pale
