As humans have modified the environment, the natural predator prey balance has been lost. Like it or not WE are now the apex predator for almost every species. The decline in song birds for instance is NOT entirely due to domestic cats. Corvids are the worst cause of song bird loss in rural areas, closely followed by grey squirrels.
this is true in the UK.
you really need to import a thousands of foxes and some wolves to but the balance back
we have thousands of foxes.

Re: Shot A Brace Of Rabbits
and you need probally 100 times more than you have to return the natural balance
Britian over the past 1500 years have wiped out bears and wolves and reudced fox number to a fraction fo what they would be naturally

I know, unfortunately the Rabbit knows how to avoid cats and foxes better than the natives of similar size.
and we can't convince the cats and foxes to just go for the rabbits
Or was the point you should stop shooting Rabbit in the Uk and come here and shoot them
that should definitely be the case for foxes

The spinney I shot them is still mine, I did not sell it with the house we just moved from.
The geeza who bought house has been cutting down small trees for his muthuz log burner, he duz not have an open fire.
I warned him to stay out.
Last week we had a offer for said spinney from a developer/builder.
Our son is now applying for planning permission for it, sod the developer.
This the last piece of separate land we have.

I was veggie for years when I was young, marriage changed all that when I got sick of cooking 2 different meals every night.

Umm correction
anytime any of us eat it was living things (lovely is subjective, is it the carrots fault you don't find it beautiful )
we are but sentient beings our lives sustained by consuming other life forms, like all sentient beings
Only Plants are noble enough life forms to be sustained by water and sunlight alone
