The accident occurred when the owner of the Zodiac 601XL plane was taking lessons from an instructor, NBC station WRCB of Chattanooga reported, citing police. A malfunction caused the plane to nose dive and the canopy flew open – and neither man was wearing a seat belt...

The former owner of the plane died in a plane crash while flying another plane he had built from a kit.

Yes, you did. You can buy all kinds of airplane kits and build your own. A lot of retired pilots do this. It's a cheaper way to get an airplane.

yeah when the guy that built the plane your in, died in the plane he built... it might not end well
