There's no Plan A or B' Schulz mocks Britain and says Brexit risks 'mutual humiliation'
MARTIN Schulz has condemned David Cameron's decision to give Britain a vote on its future within the EU, telling the former prime minister “you should never play with fire”.
Martin Schulz slammed Cameron's decision to give British voters a referendum
"Looking to the facts, I think the government in fact was not prepared for the result. Is there a Plan B?" ~ Martin Schulz
The European Parliament President blamed the former Tory leader for sending political shockwaves throughout the EU after 17.4million voters chose to ditch Brussels on June 23.
During a conference discussing the future of the crumbling bloc, Schulz mocked Britain's alleged lack of a plan: “Looking to the facts, I think the government in fact was not prepared for the result. Is there a Plan B?
“The fact is the government expected a different outcome, a different result.”
“That shows you should never play with fire.”
Schulz also claimed the only reason Cameron held the referendum was to keep the Tories together and stop the bitter backbench fighting.
Frexit, Nexit or Auxit? Who will be next to leave the EU
Referring to the former prime minister’s thinking behind the referendum, Schulz said: “I give you the referendum and you give me my political survival.
“You should not take a whole continent as a hostage for a party’s internal struggle.”
Schulz also took a thinly veiled swipe at those who voted to leave the failing superstate – and warned there could be "mutual humiliation" for both the EU and the UK if the divorce is handled badly.

Basically, Brexit winning was the UK equivalent of a Trump presidential victory.

well now Mr Schultz.....
how much "humiliation" etc there is spread around depends ENTIRELY upon YOU and yours attitude doesnt it....I mean whilst both sides will doubless play for the greatest advantage, it seems to me that only you and your disreputable "comission" are the ones playing for making things as difficult as possible...

We are leaving the eu and this ultimately means repealing the European communities act 1972...
It is this 1972 act that gives the eu supremacy over our national parliament and gives them the power to dictate their laws/rules/regulations to our national parliament...
The British people have never given their consent for this!!!
In fact... when the referendum happened in 1975... the British people were told that this handing over of power/control/sovereignty had not happened/was not happening!

Re: There's no Plan A or B' Schulz mocks Britain and says Brexit risks 'mutual humiliation'
there is NO practical reason why we cant simply be in a trading block...refering only to goods and services, and that is what we were originally sold..
ALL the rest (free movement euro parliament interfering with our law and govt etc) is pure politics and power grabbing by the commission and is Neither wanted nor desirable....Even the human rights act, that once admirable idea that was the result of 2 world wars, has been corrupted and condemned to ridicule by those idiots in brussels
the supposed "parliamnet is little but an expensive talking shop, its supposed powers surrendered to the unelected and unaccountable commission.....

Re: There's no Plan A or B' Schulz mocks Britain and says Brexit risks 'mutual humiliation'
With Cameron there was never even a Plan A.
His just lined his own pockets, along with his Bullingdon chums with a view to fucking off out of politics as soon as he could.
Hope the slimy bastard goes bankrupt.
I have to say that Ziz is a brilliant addition to this forum, calm, eloquent and intellectually far superior to the numb far right knuckle draggers.
He wins every argument.

we can trade with holland when they leave, and denmark when they leave and a host of other countries who also leave as the dominoes fall.Lord Foul wrote:there is NO practical reason why we cant simply be in a trading block...refering only to goods and services, and that is what we were originally sold..

the EU is much like the walking dead, still ambulatory but just waiting for that knife in the head to put them out of their misery.
Although I accept knife in the head might be in bad taste in germany and france
