people in a shopping mall in the US state of Minnesota on Saturday night, before being shot dead by an off-duty officer, police said.

The suspect "asked at least one person if they were Muslim before he assaulted them," Blair Anderson, the police chief in the city of St. Cloud where the attack took place, told journalists.

What I get tired of is Tommy focusing on the bad things done by the groups he's prejudiced against, including Muslims, blacks, gays, and immigrants, and yet not having the balls to admit the conclusions he wants people to come to, or to offer his ideas of dealing with terrorism, crime, etc.

Don't be ridiculous, Raggs. It's a comparison, to make a point: the same criticism directed elsewhere, also happens closer to home. It's not disparaging any religion.

It's a message about not relating your displeasure to any particular religion.

I used Christians because I assume that most of us here are more familiar with Christians than we are with Muslims, or Hindus or Jews. For most members here, growing up with Christians or as a Christian was our version of normal.

Well, like most religions, it's a component of a culture in actuality. American Christianity, Egyptian Christianity and Korean Christianity are obviously rather different cultures, but linked by religion -- much like Muslims in Saudi Arabia have a rather different culture from Muslims in Pakistan or Indonesia.

It's a very informative thing to say, and an excellent way to put it. If you were challenging someone on what you considered a very negative belief, wouldn't you borrow on your mutual ideas and experiences to convey your thoughts?
