Jobless french couple with 8 kids taking the piss out of the uk
Two five-bedroom houses turned down as 'too small' by a jobless French migrant family of 10 while they rack up a £38,400 hotel bill at the taxpayers' expense
n unemployed couple with eight children claim they are being 'neglected' after a council offered them a new five-bed home that 'didn't even have a dining room'.
Arnold Mballe Sube and his wife Jeanne, 33, currently share their three-bedroom, end-of-terrace home in Luton, Bedfordshire, with their eight young children.
However despite being offered two homes in Luton - both thought to be worth between £250,000-£270,000 - the couple claim they need a property with at least six double bedrooms for them to live comfortably.
While they waited to move into their current home, Luton Borough Council housed the family in a hotel for almost four months at the town’s £160-per-night Hampton by Hilton hotel, costing £38,400.

During their stay at the hotel, the family ran up £21,000 in room service which they refused to pay, leaving the council to foot the bill.
The family have received annual hand-outs worth £44,000 since they arrived in the UK - made up of housing and child benefits, as well as child tax credits and NHS course payments.
Their hotel stay has pushed that total to more than £103,000 in the last 12 months.

'We were ordering room service, chicken and chips, Chinese food.

They claim the conditions of their current home are 'terrible', but turned down the chance to live somewhere roomier over a lack of storage space.
Mr Sube, 33, said: 'Me and my family have been neglected, we are living in a three bedroom house and there's not enough room for us to live - there's ten of us.
'It's so cramped and the conditions are terrible, my children are starting school and we can't stay here any longer - we need a bigger house.
'The council is trying to make things hard for us, my wife is a full time mother and I am a student.
'They're just making excuses, we need a five or six bedroom house with double rooms to comfortably fit our family in.'
Mr Sube moved his family to Britain from France in 2012 so that he could study mental health nursing at the University of Bedfordshire.
The NHS agreed to fund the £27,000 degree for Mr Sube and he uses one of the bedrooms in the home as a gym/office, the Sun reported.

Why are we putting them up at all when eu free movement rules state that any people moving to another country must not be an unreasonable burden on the host nation, they must be self sufficient or fuck off!!!
Free to roam
An EU national who moves to another EU country to live is exercising their rights to move to, and reside in, that second country as an EU citizen.
EU citizens who have been living in another member state for less than five years must be “self-sufficient”. For the first five years, they may not be “an unreasonable burden” on the welfare system of their country of residence. What counts as an unreasonable burden is defined by each individual country, but usually limits the extent to which EU citizens have “recourse to public funds”.
In the UK, this means that incoming EU citizens do not have a right to receive social support on the grounds of financial need. As a result, income support, housing benefit and a range of other means-tested benefits are not generally accessible to all EU citizens until they have been in the country for five years.
Madness!!!

This makes me sick. They have it all for nothing and still complain. He should go back to France if he don't like it. Oh but wait, he won't get such generous benefits and all for the great big family he created. Why do they have massive families then expect us to pick up the tab. Lazy bleeder, get a job.

They are only entitled to a five bedroom house. Children of the same and opposite sex can share under the age of 11.

They are both 33 years old....plenty of time to have another 8 kids for us to house, clothe and feed.
We should cap family allowances/child benefits at 2 children per mother.....I bet we would soon see lazy arsed parents plan their families better.

Re: Jobless french couple with 8 kids taking the piss out of the uk
First we should enforce the rules we already have... and should never have allowed these lot to stay anyway...
They are not entitled to anything under current rules of free movement!!!
And if we were out of eu they wouldn't have even been able to try to get here and start scamming our country!!!
They should be removed back to France immediately and billed for the money they have wrongfully had so far while being here.

And how will they pay?
It would cost us a fortune in legal fees trying to get anything back from scroungers like that.

Re: Jobless french couple with 8 kids taking the piss out of the uk
First stop their support.
Second remove them back to France.
Third issue an order for recovery of funds obtained illegally.
Fourth take action against those in authority here in uk who allowed these funds to be agreed and paid.
Fifth use this example of proper enforcement of existing rules to root out and remove all others currently here and illegally claiming uk taxpayers money they are not entitled to.
Sixth issue orders for recovery of funds obtained illegally.
Seventh take action against those in authority here in uk who allowed these funds to be agreed and paid.
Recovery of all funds lost so far may not be possible... but by acting to stop the current illegal claiming of funds and putting a stop to others in the future being able to start illegal claims will be saving us a fortune!!!

I agree they should be deported and the people who made the decision to pay and house them and their brood should be brought to book.
I think the chances of getting any of the money back are less than none, but people COULD learn from this....I doubt they will though.

They won't be deported or brought to book though, because were stupid here. The authorities cave in as they're so frightened of being called racist. This word is so overused and done now. Time to get tough and treat everyone the same, no matter what their colour.

Re: Jobless french couple with 8 kids taking the piss out of the uk
Surely it's the council which is taking the piss. The council is the bloody fool, it has gone about everything the wrong way. They lavish all that money on this absurdly large family then moan about it later.
They offer families a choice of homes then moan when the choice is rejected. If there wasn't a choice, there would be no rejection, people would have to take the first home offered.
Putting up families in hotels is absurdly expensive, councils should negotiate big discounts from these hotels owners instead of just paying whatever huge sums they ask for, upfront.
Councils routinely put families up in hotels in between home placements, this practice has gone on for literally decades and decades, nowt new here.

Re: Jobless french couple with 8 kids taking the piss out of the uk
The papers knew this story would cause outrage and the details have been laid out in such a clever way, to maximise that outrage with the type of words cleverly used. Disingenious. It's attracted nearly 4,000 comments - a newspaper's wet dream. They knew readers would compete to outdo each other as to who would have the biggest thrombie over this story.
These are the facts I gleaned after a quick glance at a different newspaper, before I saw this thread. I stand corrected on any details I've got wrong - hopefully I would be corrected in a civil manner, not rudely if I've interpreted some aspects wrong.
1. Disingenously, the link said he was jobless. He is a student in his 3rd year. Students are not referred to as jobless and they are never included in the jobless statistics.
2. Students are not usually regarded as migrants either. He is not a migrant, he was invited by the NHS to come over from france and fill a staffing gap and he needed 3 years of college training for it. (Yep the NHS still imports people from overseas!) In this case I don't think they realised he had all these kids. What a stupid idea that was.
3. If he is a French citizen, his treatment here will be in accordance with the way any other EU members (french, spanish, swiss, or whatever) are treated. The fact that the couple is an ethnic-looking pair, originally from Cameroon, will not factor, if they are now French citizens. He said he had a nice job and house in france, and answered an advert to come and work in the NHS.

They should support themselves whether being student or not... eu rules are clear that a eu migrant must not be an unnecessary burden on host nation.
What are the NHS doing inviting him and offering you pay his training fees but with no consideration of other costs...?
