Absolutely brilliant.
What an ambassador for Britain he has become.
Is there a prouder person wearing the GBshirt,and is he more deserving an award than one of Cameron's many crony chums?
I reckon there will be 1 or 2 on here gnashing their teeth in pent up annoyance,and a few on another, racist place spewing their anger.

I watched this race, watched his interview - heard him explain about the drive for this fourth gold medal ...now each if his four children had their own GOLD MEDAL!
Quite a man - what a great father too ...imagine that - a Muslim making Britain PROUD!
Sure were a lot of disqualification's for shoving in this race

I hadn't seen this thread and wrongly posted in the Medals thread instead....
He is absolutely brilliant....all the hard work and dedication, guts and sacrifice have paid off for him, and he remains such a wonderfully likeable man, with grace and humour....and the most fabulous teeth, which he shows off with that great big genuine grin of his.

Interesting that there have been plenty of great British Olympian excelling in Rio... but hand shandy only feels the need to gush over a Somalian Muslim immigrant...

I never mentioned in my op his country of birth, his religion or his method of entry into the UK ( perfectly legal).
He is a proud BRITISH citizen,honourable, humble ,kind and generous and would give his life for his family and country.
Our resident racist still wants all blacks and Muslims expelled from the UK and repatriated as part of building a Nazi Ayrian race of blond haired,blue eyed ,whites only society.
It will never happen.

It's true we have had some brilliant performances from team GB, but there is something about Mo Farah that steals your heart.
I felt the same as the OP and posted in the medals thread before I saw this thread.
Does it matter where he originated from.....he is a British citizen and has lived here since he was a child.
If he had a troubled childhood in Somalia all the more reason to admire his guts and determination....though tbh I doubt most people even think of that when they see him beat the worlds best.
